Fashion & Fairytale are delighted to announce an artistic collaboration with award winning digital embroiderer Jacky Puzey and embellishment designer and Senior Fellow of Winchester School of Art, Emma Reichenbach.
These two wonderful artists and educators are generously giving their time to support our work with the Mentoring Plus Girls Group' in 2020.
Fashion & Fairytale is working with the Girls' Group to boost their confidence, celebrate their individuality, creativity and imaginations, whilst offering an alternative to the pressures of fast fashion and social media. By collaborating and running an embellishment and embroidery workshop, the Girls' Group will be able to learn new skills in design and personalise their preloved, upcycled outfits ready for the catwalk on the 9th July 2020.
Jacky Puzey specialises in digital embroidery commissions for interiors and fashion and has earned awards and acclaim for her amalgamation of fur, feathers, tweed and organza with drawing, laser cutting and digital embroidery. Her exquisite layering of textures showcases some of nature's most beautiful creatures and Fashion & Fairytale are delighted to be able to share her skills with a new generation of potential designers.
Emma Reichenbach is a highly experienced international surface designer who specialises in embellishment and print. Having worked with some of the most high profile, global fashion houses, Emma draws her inspiration from vintage fashion, heritage and textiles and fuses modern materials to create textile compositions that are original and truly beautiful. We have no doubt that the Girls' Group will be inspired to create fabulous embellishments to their final sustainable outfits.
Fashion & Fairytale could not succeed in our social and environmental mission if it were not for the kindness and generosity of our partners. If you would like to support us, sponsor an event, lend your skills or donate prizes for our 2020 fashion show & auction in aid of Mentoring Plus then get in touch.
A huge thank you to:
