Finally, after six months of assemblies, lessons, workshops, events and a lot of help from B&NES school teachers, we can announce the four winners of the Fashion & Fairytale sustainable fashion competition!
Our creative director Cindy Beadman, and our industry judges, Andy Jackson, Rachel P Blake and Emma Reichenbach had an incredibly tough job to whittle down the four winning designs from the 300 entries from school children and individual young people across the county and we have been blown away by their careful consideration of the planet, drawing and design skills and boundless enthusiasm for our project.
To enter into the final, designers had to demonstrate that they had met the competition brief and fulfilled four criteria:
The judges reviewed the designs on four occasions to ensure that they were all happy with their decisions and feedback from the judges and fabulous prizes will be presented to the runners up and winners at their school assemblies over the course of the next few weeks.
